Piaras is Partner and Head of Banking & Financial Services in Eversheds Sutherland Ireland. Piaras advises both Irish and international financial institutions and agencies in addition to specialised lenders on all aspects of banking law including in relation to corporate banking, acquisition finance, structured finance, commercial real estate and development finance, hedging and general secured and unsecured lending transactions.
In particular, he has extensive experience in advising large corporates, plcs, public bodies, institutional firms, qualifying investor funds (QIAIFs), ICAVS and other regulated entities on complex and/or high value lending transactions. Piaras also has extensive experience in advising clients on debt restructuring, workouts and recovery related issues in addition to banking issues relating to insolvency, loan and security documentation.
