Ian advises on all aspects of pension schemes including documentation, multi-scheme mergers and independent trusteeship. He also advises on public sector pension schemes, SIPPs and SSAS’s.

He is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers, the Association of Member Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS) and he is a past Chairman of his local NAPF. He is recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers' Guide to the Legal Profession as a leader in his field.

Ian regularly writes and lectures on pensions issues for various organisations. He is a contributor to Eversheds' Pensions Law Handbook and to Eversheds' Pensions Speed Brief.
