Jason is a Principal Associate in our Employment Team, with considerable experience in a range of employment law issues. He is qualified as a Solicitor Advocate, regularly appearing in the Employment Tribunal and also having appeared before the Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal. Jason also regularly advises on Industrial Relation issues, including injunction issues and applications before the Central Arbitration Committee.

Jason has experience in a wide range of areas of advocacy before the Employment Tribunal, including unfair dismissal, all areas of discrimination and applications for interim relief. Recent cases include successfully representing Rolls-Royce plc in a 3 week unfair dismissal/whistleblowing claim, successfully defending Ryanair in a breach of contract/unfair dismissal claim (where costs were awarded) and representing a school in a high profile teacher dismissal case.

Appearing as a Solicitor-Advocate, Jason successfully represented a higher education client at the Court of Appeal on an issue which considered suitable alternative employment in a redundancy situation.

Jason has also appeared before the High Court on Employment related issues.

Jason has written several publication, including co-authoring an Executive Overview of UK Labour Law, a publication setting out the key aspects of UK Employment Law for US companies and a publication setting out the differences between statutory trade union recognition in the UK and the United States of America. Jason also lectures on the internal advocacy course for employment lawyers.

Jason works with a mixture of major corporate and high profile clients (often international) and is the Employment Team client relationship manager for a number of high profile clients including Rolls-Royce plc, Ryanair Limited, Kronos Inc and NetGear.
