Eve England is a partner in our commercial contracts group. She specialises in general contracts law, intellectual property, data protection, IT and consumer protection law.

Eve is a member of the Eversheds financial services sector team and advises financial institutions on a range of commercial and consumer related matters. Eve has recently undertaken recent secondments at retail banking institutions. In addition, Eve has particular expertise in LNG sector, having undertaking a 2 year secondment with an LNG terminal in the UK and advising other international LNG terminals in connection with their corporate procurement contracts.

Eve is also a key member of the Eversheds’ Consumer Law Group, and advises clients on all matters concerning their relationships with individual consumes. Eve contributes regularly to consumer law briefings and articles, and has written an article on consumer law published in the Westlaw Insight Encyclopaedia.

Eve is a regular speaker at Eversheds’ In House Counsel Seminars on commercial contracts and consumer topics and presents on IT law and data protection subjects at IT:AM Seminars. Eve also provides bespoke training to clients in connection with commercial contract and consumer law matters

A significant amount of this work relates to IPR-related contractual work (including on licensing agreements) as well as IP-related auditing work pursuant to transactions handled by the corporate group. Eve England  is the other partner in the group and is ‘brilliant’ at handling IP issues in the digital space, in particular.

The team also advises on issues related to IT platforms and the cloud, data protection matters, payment regulations and disputes. Practice head Matthew Gough specialises in commercial arrangements, including the terms and conditions of supply and purchase, IT and outsourcing agreements, and software licensing work. Craig Rogers focuses on the creation of banking, investment and insurance platforms, cloud computing and cybersecurity issues, as well as, regulatory compliance in technology and outsourcing arrangements.
