Philip is an associate within the Corporate group, advising on a range of corporate transactions, both in the UK and internationally, in a variety of business sectors, including technology, renewable energy, retail and consumer and financial services.

Philip has a broad experience of advising on acquisitions and disposals, advising investors, management and companies on private equity transactions (particularly early-stage / development capital financings for growing companies), as well as joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and general corporate advice.

Philip’s recent experience includes:

• Advising Pollen Street Capital in relation to its investments in 1st Stop Group Limited and Validis Holdings Limited.

• Advising a leading UK credit broker on its acquisition of a UK mortgage and loan broker.

• Advising an international solar energy development group in relation to a number of disposals of solar PV projects located in England and Wales.

• Advising a specialist renewable energy investor on its £22m acquisition of 50% of the issued share capital of, and investment in, a project company intending to construct and develop an on-shore wind farm in the UK.

• Advising one of the UK's largest SME investment companies on various follow-up investments in existing portfolio companies in the technology sector.

• Advising a consortium of international investors on the shareholder arrangements necessary to own, develop, construct and operate a 50MW solar power plant in Egypt under the Egyptian Feed in Tariff Programme.

In addition to Philip’s transactional experience, Philip also has significant practical experience having spent time on secondment at AnaCap Financial Partners, a private equity fund, and CDC Group plc, the UK’s development finance institution.
