James is an associate in our construction and engineering team. He specialises in non-contentious work, to include renewable energy projects.

His recent experience includes: advice to national banks in relation to the due diligence on construction and related documentation for multi-million pound development funding purposes (retail, residential, student accommodation, office, industrial, mixed use, extra care homes, wind turbines, solar and anaerobic digestion); advice to joint ventures and special purchase vehicles in relation to large-scale construction, infrastructure and leisure projects (procurement advice and construction and ancillary documentation preparation); and advice to a national government in relation to feasibility studies regarding large-scale infrastructure projects.

James also spent eighteen months’ part-time secondment in-house with the Natural England Legal team, which included advising on large-scale renewable energy projects, large-scale infrastructure projects, a judicial review and environmental site designations.
