Alison Poole is an Associate in our FSDI group. She specialises in professional negligence litigation and title rectification for Lenders.

Her recent professional negligence experience includes: being instructed by Lenders to pursue claims against Surveyors and Solicitors for negligence, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. Her particular emphasis is on securing recoveries for her clients through the innovative use of Alternative Dispute Resolution, and by grouping cases linked by common defendants/insurers for the purpose of resolution through without prejudice settlement meetings and/or mediations. Alison also has experience of defending professional negligence claims brought against the in house valuation division of a Lender client.

Alison’s recent title rectification experience includes resolving a ransom strip issue which was frustrating a sale in possession by a Lender client and negotiating the grant of a Deed of Easement of Rights of Way.

Alison also delivers training to Lender clients.

Alison has participated in a number of second stage document review projects for Lenders. She is an experienced user of numerous document review software platforms and also has project management experience.

Alison regularly provides articles on professional negligence for the FSDI Secured Recoveries Briefing and has also written articles for the “Speakers Corner” section of the Mortgage Finance Gazette.
