Phil is a partner in our real estate practice group and also our national head of residential development.

Phil specialises in major residential development schemes across the UK for some of the industry’s leading developers including Taylor Wimpey, David Wilson Homes, Barratt Homes, Redrow and Catesby Estates.

Phil’s experience includes leading our team acting for Centex Corp on the sale of Fairclough Homes to Miller Homes for £260m, advising on a 1,000 home urban extension for Taylor Wimpey, the sale of the Catesby Group to Urban&Civic plc, the East Kettering 5000 dwelling scheme and the purchase of Roland Bardsley Homes by David Wilson Homes. Phil is our Client Relationship Partner for Taylor Wimpey and Barratt Homes.

Phil has also advised on Collaboration Agreements between house builders on several major new settlements. In Chambers and Partners UK Guide Phil is recognised as a residential development expert and is referred to as “an excellent lawyer who has his finger on the pulse and the client’s job at the forefront of his mind”.

Phil is a member of the Home Builders Federation and he contributes articles to Housebuilder Magazine.
