Rachael is as Associate in our real estate practice group specialising in planning and infrastructure consenting.

Rachael acts for developers primarily within the housing and energy sectors, including in relation to negotiating S.106 Agreements for national housebuilders and highways and infrastructure agreements for utilities companies. She also regularly advises on planning appeals for renewable energy schemes in England and Wales, as well as S.36 applications in Scotland.

Her current projects include negotiating a strategic S.106 Agreement for a major housing development in Shropshire, advising on a S.78 appeal against the refusal of planning consent for a wind farm in Cumbria, and advising in relation to the submission of a judicial review against the Scottish Government’s refusal of a wind farm in the Scottish Highlands.

Rachael also has experience in assisting in-house advocates and Counsel at a number of public local inquiries across the UK.
