Katharine Vickery is a partner specialising in business compliance and enforcement. She has successfully defended and prosecuted in a wide range of regulatory matters including health & safety, food safety, consumer protection and environmental.  She is a qualified solicitor-advocate and has represented clients both in the Magistrates' Court and Crown Court.

Katharine is acknowledged as providing "sound advice, gravitas and credibility" with an "excellent knowledge of her practice area" (Legal 500). Most notably she was the lead on-site lawyer dealing with the investigation that followed the explosion and fire at the Buncefield oil depot (R v Hertfordshire Oil Storage Limited and others [2010]).  She was also the lead partner acting for one of the defendants in a lengthy trial involving the safe removal of asbestos (R v Marks and Spencers Plc and others [2011]).

Katharine is a specialist in technical food law, including food labelling, and retail regulatory compliance.  She regularly advises on the interpretation and application of EU Law and provides strategic and risk-based advice on advertising, safety and labelling issues.  She has also project managed several international labelling and product reviews to provide clients with advice on compliance across the globe.
