Liesje is a third seat trainee in the CDR team. Liesje has responsibility for drafting advice and key documents for clients, preparing bundles ahead of attending hearings and has worked with the employment team on an urgent disclosure exercise.

Liesje’s second seat was split between the Real Estate and Planning teams, where she assisted on all areas of commercial property and development, often for KAM clients such as BAE Systems. Liesje drafted transfers, leases and planning agreements and assisted on compiling a quarterly report on the latest property law developments for John Lewis Partnership.

Liesje undertook her first seat in Corporate where she assisted with advising core-corporate clients, charities and education bodies. She often liaised with Eversheds’ international offices and teams across the firm. Liesje was heavily involved in a due diligence exercise on the merger of two education bodies. Liesje gained experience in governance, drafting articles of association, funding and ‘NDA’ agreements.

Liesje was also a Paralegal in Eversheds’ Core Real Estate department, where she was involved in a high-profile rental portfolio deal for the Berkeley Homes Group. In addition, and for another client, Liesje drafted deeds, negotiated their terms and maintained a report of ongoing matters for the client.

Liesje obtained a 1st class law degree with honours, focussing on corporate law, with her dissertation being based on corporate governance; directors’ duties and corporate failures.
