Matthew is an employment Partner in our Education employment team.

He advises a wide range of Further Education Colleges, Higher Education institutions and Academies on employment and governance issues.

Matthew has considerable experience in providing advice on a full range of employment law issues, including: advising on strategic issues affecting institutions (collective redundancies, reorganisations, mergers and joint ventures); handling complex multi-day Employment Tribunal claims for a number of educational institutions; dealing with complex issues in relation to the Statutes and Ordinances of Universities and the Instrument and Articles of Government of Further Education Colleges; as well as general day to day advisory work.

Matthew is a regular trainer as part of the Eversheds training programme and participates in the delivery of bespoke training to a large number of clients.

Matthew is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
