Liz Fitzsimons is a Partner who specialises in data protection and freedom of information, particularly in relation to international issues and transfers. Liz has a great deal of experience with multi party and multi country compliance issues and programmes and works with a specialist team on such projects. Recent experience and compliance programmes include strategic advice on US vendor engagements for expense claim management and travel services; assistance re privacy requirements on international outsourcings and new IT systems; dealing with requirements for SOX and ethnical reporting lines and data consolidation in shared service contract hubs.

Liz has also worked with clients in relation to privacy issues on pan European and trans Atlantic e-discovery in litigation, data sharing agreements and protocols, advice on customer relationship management systems, and data audits. Her practice also includes advice on security breaches, security obligations and reporting, privacy and data policies and protection of confidential material. Liz also has extensive experience dealing with requests for information, responses, appeals and ICO investigation and complaints for clients. Liz is a frequent speaker at events including PDP's Annual FOI 2010 Conference and regularly provides training for clients.

She is recommended in Chambers Data Protection Best of UK category which states "Liz is very much appreciated by clients for her extensive experience and commercial sense", Chambers 2010.
