Brexit and the legal implications for businesses

Jonathan leads our team advising on consumer finance regulatory matters.

Jonathan's area of asset finance expertise is consumer credit – acting for banks, finance houses and retailers in the provision of serviced and unserviced credit card products, loan and card account documentation, compliance, and advertising issues. His experience includes selling credit card receivables and debt transfer arrangements, data protection compliance, data warehousing arrangements and joint ventures in the retail credit sector.

He is recognised as being particularly effective in partnering with clients in developing their contract and relationship processes.

Jonathan participates in the activities of major trade bodies, gives lectures on consumer credit legislation and is undertaking lobbying in connection with the current proposals to deregulate the legislation.

Brexit

The impact of Brexit will not be the same for all businesses. Our Brexit lawyers are working with a number of clients to help them with Brexit planning. We are helping them take steps to put themselves in the best possible position. For some clients, we have analysed the implications of Brexit on their business based on the different potential models of Brexit. We would be happy to discuss the potential implications of Brexit for your business too.

Contact Jonathan for more information on how Brexit may affect your business.
