Elena is a senior associate in our pensions team. Elena has experience advising employers of occupational pension schemes on management of section 75 debts (this includes advising the sponsoring employer of an unsegregated scheme with eight defined benefit sections and a defined contribution section, and the sponsoring employer of a segregated scheme with five defined benefit sections). Elena also has experience of advising employers on auto-enrolment and closure to future accrual (including in light of the recent IBM judgment). Elena has advised schemes on the implications of various tax protections of scheme members and provision of life assurance through excepted group life policies. Elena has advised schemes on pension increase exchange exercises. Elena is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers.
