Yohanna is a principal associate in the national planning team. She specialises in the consenting of major infrastructure and urban regeneration projects under the Planning Act 2008 and Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

Yohanna has experience across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious aspects of planning and environmental law, including Development Consent Order and Transport & Works Act applications, planning applications for major housing and regeneration schemes, Section 106 Agreements, highways agreements and stopping up, compulsory purchase, environmental impact assessment and appeals.

Her recent matters include advising National Grid on development consent orders for a new 400kV overhead electricity transmission line and submerged strategic high-pressure gas pipeline; advising Almacantar in connection with the Shell Centre redevelopment at Southbank, advising Catalyst Capital in connection with the acquisition of a £43m investment portfolio and advising Barratt David Wilson on the section 106 agreement for a 2,000 dwelling mixed-use scheme near Northampton.
