Julia is a senior associate in our pensions team. She has extensive experience, advising pension scheme trustees and companies on all aspects of pensions law. In recent years, Julia has worked on a diverse range of matters such as scheme funding, changing pension benefits, insolvent restructurings, “buy ins” and “buy outs”, and contingency planning for a potential bank rescue. Her advisory work often involves highly technical questions, such as pensions tax, preservation and anti-franking issues. She also advises on day-to-day issues such as scheme governance, scheme investment, member communications and member disputes, and she has a great deal of experience of advising on the pensions aspects of both UK and cross-border corporate transactions.
