Lizzie is an Associate in our London Commercial team, specialising in Data Privacy and Information law. Lizzie also advises clients on E-commerce and Consumer related queries.

Lizzie is CIPP/E certified and has substantial experience in the following:

• co-ordinating multi-jurisdictional data protection compliance projects (e.g. implementing global HRIS, record retention advice, whistleblowing hotlines etc.);
• assisting with the data protection related elements of online competitions and marketing initiatives;
• drafting, reviewing, negotiating and/or advising on: data protection warranties, staff policies (BYOD, IT and data protection), online and offline privacy notices, cookies policies and terms of use;
• carrying out corporate due diligence on the data protection position of target companies (including organisations in the TMT, property, leisure and retail space); and
• advising on data sharing, subject access requests, BYOD, the use of CCTV, data security breaches, the laws on cookies and cross-border transfers of personal data.

Lizzie qualified as a solicitor in September 2013, having completed her training contract with Eversheds. During her training, Lizzie spent time with the Corporate, Commercial (IT/Outsourcing) and Employment teams. Lizzie also completed a six month client secondment with one of the UK’s best-loved retailers.

Lizzie is a member of the Eversheds TMT, Food & Drink and Retail sector groups.
