Andrew Henderson is a partner in our financial institutions group with over 19 years’ experience and leads our financial regulation group. His core practice involves acting as trusted adviser to asset managers and banks on: business structuring and licensing, including issues arising from Brexit; governance oversight and regulatory capital,; cross-border distribution and product governance, especially of funds under the AIFMD and retail funds; conduct risk; client documentation and disclosure; controls on market abuse and trading; client money and client assets; and regulatory change projects, most recently MiFID 2 where he acted for over 40 asset managers. He also works in Fintech and digital financial services, having advised on the first equity issuance settled on a blockchain in the UK.
