Rosamund is a senior associate in our pensions team with considerable experience advising on risk transfer transactions. She advises insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and pension scheme trustees and sponsoring employers on a range of structures transferring both longevity and asset-risk, and has acted on some of the largest and most complex residual risks transactions executed to date. Rosamund also advises insurer and reinsurer clients on a range of regulatory matters with a particular focus on Solvency II and the Matching Adjustment. Recent experience includes: • advising on the use of pension scheme sponsor-owned captive reinsurers in connection with the transfer of scheme liabilities; • advising insurers on the conditions for use of the Matching Adjustment applicable to assets and liabilities; • advising an insurer on a high value bulk purchase annuity agreement with contingent collateral features; • advising Reinsurance Group of America on a £5bn longevity swap with the Barclays Retirement Fund; • advising Legal & General on the £4.6bn residual risks bulk annuity transaction with the Rolls-Royce Pension Fund.
