Philip is a Partner in our Global Privacy & Cyber Security Group. Philip is passionate about data driven innovation and strategy. He is an expert in data privacy, cyber security & information rights. Philip guides clients through the issues arising from the creation, licensing and exploitation of rights in content, data and software on mobile, cloud and new media platforms. Philip specialises in fraud prevention, cyber risk, data strategy, risk management, ID, biometrics, facial recognition, profiling, big data, AI, automation, behavioural targeting, loyalty and social media (and its influence). Philip is experienced in the Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT), Entertainment, Retail, Sports, Hospitality, Fintech (incl. Insurtech) Sectors. However, Philip also seeks to apply experience from one sector to innovate in others. Examples include advising: (a) a 'pay-as-you-fly' drone insurance platform on a first-of-its-kind alliance with a global insurer; and (b) a games developer on an international multi-party JV to create a data sharing hub to identify market trends for investment funds.
