Brexit and the legal implications for businesses

Sophie is a partner in our company commercial practice group and specialises in major infrastructure projects using various funding, procurement and contractual structures. She has over ten years’ experience and particular expertise in transactions procured as PPPs (including PFI and PF2). She advises both public and private sector clients in the UK and internationally across a variety of sectors. Sophie advises on projects from initial inception, throughout the procurement phase to completion and ongoing operation.

Her recent experience includes: advising the PPP Office of the Government of Bangladesh on the structuring a delivery of its PPP programme, including individual projects in the health, accommodation and transport sectors; advising the successful bidder for the UK’s North West Batch of the Priority School Building Programme – one of only five projects in the UK to have closed using the new PF2 model; and advising the Government of Kuwait on its first education PPP.

Sophie regularly delivers training to clients and speaks at international conferences on structuring and delivery of PPP projects.

Brexit

The impact of Brexit will not be the same for all businesses. Our Brexit lawyers are working with a number of clients to help them with Brexit planning. We are helping them take steps to put themselves in the best possible position. For some clients, we have analysed the implications of Brexit on their business based on the different potential models of Brexit. We would be happy to discuss the potential implications of Brexit for your business too.
