Ian is a Principal Associate in Eversheds’ Real Estate Practice Group. Ian specialises in residential development acting for national housebuilders, promoters and landowners across the UK.

Ian has over 16 years of experience in all aspects of residential development including conditional and unconditional acquisitions and disposals, options, planning promotion agreements, joint ventures, collaboration agreements, overage and freehold reversion acquisitions and disposals.

Some of the projects Ian has worked on include:

• Conditional purchase of a former University site for a 400+ unit scheme with overage and deferred consideration
• Taking a long term strategic option from a consortium of landowners
• Disposal for £20m of a portfolio of freehold reversions
• Conditional purchases of listed buildings from a range of landowners including local authorities, government departments and receivers
• Completion of planning promotion agreements and legal charges in respect of greenbelt land subject to existing overage arrangements

Ian’s strengths lie in his ability to integrate himself seamlessly within the client’s professional team and so better understand, anticipate and achieve client’s objectives.
