Stephen is an Associate in our human resources practice group specialising in employment law.

Stephen advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment matters and acts for a wide range of clients. In particular, he provides advice in respect of day-to-day employment related issues such as grievances, disciplinary matters and capability issues; TUPE matters; terminations; and negotiating settlement agreements. He also advises on executive terminations and the employment aspects of corporate/commercial transactions. Stephen also has experience of preparing contractual documentation, staff handbooks and employment policies.

With respect to his contentious practice, Stephen advises in respect of matters before both the employment tribunals and the employment appeal tribunal.

Prior to joining Eversheds, Stephen worked in the in-house legal team at the General Medical Council, and also held various human resource management roles within both NHS and private sector health and social care organisations.

Stephen graduated with an LLB (Hons) in Law in 2005. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Jenny Mann works closely with financial services, TMT and utility clients to advise on executive departures, restrictive covenant and employee incentive and bonus schemes, whilst also being viewed as a cross-border specialist. Stephen Chegwin continues to be active in employment and labour litigation, alongside complex reoganisation and redundancy mandates.
