Elizabeth is a Principal Associate in our Corporate Real Estate team.

Elizabeth is experienced in a broad range of commercial property work, including acquisitions, disposals, sale and leasebacks, landlord and tenant matters, portfolio management issues and corporate transactions. Elizabeth acts for a variety of major corporate occupiers and private investors across a variety of sectors including defence, industrial, energy and healthcare including BAE Systems, Chemtura, European Metal Recycling, Global Radio, John Lewis Partnership, RR Donnelley and Samsung. Elizabeth is very experienced in project managing large transactions with portfolios of properties involving preparing or reviewing certificates of title.

Her recent transactions include acting for BAE Systems in relation to the £45m development, sale and lease back of its new munitions factory at Radway Green, Alsager; acting on the disposal of a care home investment business for £500m; acting on the acquisition of a portfolio of metal recycling facilities; working with a client to release capital from its surplus property portfolio, including acting on the disposal of various brownfield sites for redevelopment and the disposal of large manufacturing facilities; acting for a private investor on the forward funding of a new leisure complex.

Also with a developing specialism in this particular area is Jayne Speers, who was notably promoted to partner in May 2022. ‘Standout partner’ Phillip Tunney has experience acting for national and international key clients across a range of industry sectors. The team has a strong reputation for its ability to advise on significant projects in the region, including developments such as the Mayfield; regenerations, which are Michael Buchanan‘s particular focus, an example being the ongoing regeneration of Salford Central; as well as acquisitions and disposals.
