Jonathan is a Principal Associate in our Corporate department. Jonathan trained with Eversheds and qualified in 2004. He has experience of both public and private company work including Initial Public Offers, acquisitions and disposals, takeovers and acting for both management and private equity houses on private equity transactions.

Jonathan is listed as an “Associate to watch” in the 2014 edition of Chambers and Partners with sources highlighting “his ability to understand the key commercial issues facing corporate clients”.

Transactions which Jonathan worked on in 2012 and 2013 included acting for Rutland Partners on their investment in Bernard Matthews, acting for Help-Link on the investment made by Northedge Capital, for William Jackson on its purchase of Abel & Cole, Coalfield Resources Plc on its underwritten rights issue and for Utilitywise Plc on its acquisition of Energy Information Centre and related placing.

In Autumn 2010, Jonathan undertook a secondment to the in-house legal department of BBA Aviation Plc, a FTSE-250 listed aviation services client.  Jonathan has also recently completed a secondment to information management company Iron Mountain.

Jonathan studied European Law at the University of Warwick, spending his third year studying law in Lille, France and Saarbrücken, Germany. Jonathan speaks French and German.
