Peter Cranston is a partner and also a licensed insolvency practitioner, and joined Eversheds in 2003. Peter has substantial experience of all aspects of corporate insolvency, but specialises in non-contentious issues, including restructurings, refinancing, security enhancement and turnarounds as well as formal insolvency appointments such as administration, voluntary arrangements and all types of receivership. Peter heads Eversheds' corporate recovery and insolvency team in the North.

His recent assignments include the financial restructuring of WYG plc, CVA of Discover Leisure plc, and the administrations of Eurotel plc, JTF (Cash & Carry) Limited, Style Menswear and the receivership of Richard Alexander Limited as well as several confidential restructurings.

A council member of the Insolvency Lawyers Association and an occasional speaker on banking and insolvency related topics and a contributor to publications, including sessions on Companies in Distress at the IBA, San Francisco (2003), and on Prepackaged Disposals to the ILA Conference in Bath (2006).

Peter has been consistently ranked in the top tier for restructuring and insolvency lawyers in the principal legal directories ever since publication.
