Ariel is a trusted hands-on adviser to private and public companies and private equity funds and their portfolio companies on a full range of corporate transactions and matters, including leveraged buyouts, growth capital and minority investments, financing, joint ventures, equity arrangements, restructuring, reorganizations, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. Ariel advised private equity funds and companies in various sizes and types of transactions in different industries, including consumer products, food and beverage, mortgage, business services, manufacturing, technology and telecom, healthcare, construction and infrastructure. Notable transactions that Ariel advised on include Bain Capital’s investment in Sundial Brands, WestStar Mortgage’s sale to The J.G. Wentworth Company, Apax Partners’ acquisition of Cole Haan, Apax Partner’s simultaneous acquisitions of Activant Group and Epicor Software Corporation, and Professional Hospital Supply in its sale to Medline Industries.

Other work included M&A team leader Will Chuchawat, who divides his time between Los Angeles and Shanghai, leading advice to Mercury Systems, a hi-tech company serving the aerospace and defense industries, on its agreement to acquire Themis Computer, which manufactures manufactures computing products; and Lucantonio Salvi in Washington DC acting, as US counsel, for Charme Partners, an Italian private equity fund, on its acquisition of ammunition maker Fiocchi Minuzioni. The co-corporate and securities practice group leaders are Century City’s Jeryl Bowers and Linda Michaelson, and Ariel Yehezkel in New York, while Los Angeles’ Lawrence Braun is also highly rated.
