Mr. Caseria’s practice focuses on antitrust and competition matters. He has advised companies on mergers and acquisitions, successfully litigated competition disputes, and represented clients involved in government antitrust investigations.

Career

Mr. Caseria has advised companies on competition issues relating to intellectual property, standard-setting, and FRAND licensing. His experience covers a broad spectrum of industries, including consumer electronics, automotive parts and cement and concrete. He has litigated many cases involving alleged antitrust violations under the Sherman and Clayton Acts, including price-fixing, boycott, and monopolization cases. He frequently defends companies in a class action or multidistrict litigation context and has authored articles and counseled on the inclusion of class action waivers in arbitration agreements. His litigation experience also includes disputes involving unfair competition, tortious interference and trade secrets. has litigated many cases involving alleged antitrust violations under the Sherman and Clayton Acts, including price-fixing, boycott, and monopolization cases. Michael Scarborough leads Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP‘s antitrust and competition practice from San Francisco and successfully defended Samsung against boycott and monopsonization claims brought by a non-practicing entity relating to the client’s acquisition and licensing of smartphone patents. Michael Cohen sits in Washington DC and is currently representing Reynolds and Reynolds in state and federal antitrust conspiracy and monopoly claims brought by automobile dealers and software providers.
