Giselle Donado is a partner in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Giselle represents a wide variety of clients in all aspects of employment law. Her experience ranges from single-plaintiff cases to complex class actions in both state and federal courts, as well as administrative proceedings. Giselle has substantial experience with wage and hour collective/class action and discrimination class actions for major U.S. retailers, financial industry clients, and global telecommunications companies. She has assisted clients with litigation involving breach of contract, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, Sarbanes-Oxley, non-compete and trade secret claims. Giselle represents employers in federal and state administrative proceedings before the EEOC, DOL, OFCCP, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Illinois Human Rights Commission, and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. Additionally, Giselle routinely counsels clients regarding compliance with state and federal employment laws including the FLSA, ADA, ADEA, OWBPA, Title VII, WARN Act, FCRA, and FMLA, and has significant experience advising major international corporate clients regarding reductions-in-force. Giselle also has substantial experience advising clients on employee classifications, conducting in-depth assessments and making recommendations on employee classification, and assisting clients with all aspects of re-classifying job positions.
