Position

Adam Lupion is a partner in the Labor & Employment Law Department. As a member of the Sports Law Group, Adam leads the firm’s Major League Baseball Salary Arbitration practice and routinely handles labor and employment issues for professional sports leagues and teams. In addition to representing professional sports teams and leagues, Adam has extensive experience representing employers in the financial services industry, such as hedge funds, private equity funds, investment banks and other investment advisors with respect to a wide variety of labor and employment law matters, including compensation disputes, employment discrimination and retaliation, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, defamation, breach of contract, non-competition agreements and wage-and-hour issues.

Bloom, Howard Ganz and Adam Lupion represent the Major League Baseball (MLB) in an ongoing wage-and-hour putative class action brought by minor league baseball players alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and various state wage-and-hour laws before the Ninth Circuit. Lupion and Joseph Baumgarten acted for the National Hockey League (NHL) when, after more than five years of litigation, the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of a former player was dismissed. Nigel Telman in Chicago, who has 'an exceptional approach and is customer focused', acts for McDonald's in various matters.
