Career

Iván García is Partner at the firm in charge of the Tax Consulting and Compliance Division.

He focuses his practice on Corporate and Personal Tax, International Taxation, Due Diligences, Corporate Finance & Accounting and Auditing, and has more than 30 years of experience providing tax and financial consulting services for multinational and national clients in multiple sectors of the economy.

His professional career has been linked to International Auditing, Consulting and Tax Firms, consolidating a wide experience in tax and financial matters, which allows him to have a global perspective of his clients’ businesses from different angles, as well as the risks to which they are exposed.

Iván has participated in several of the main M&A transactions that have taken place in Ecuador, analyzing and evaluating the tax impacts and the most efficient structures, as a fundamental part of the Tax team of a Big Four.

In addition to his professional experience, he has been a university professor and responsible for tax training programs at Ernst & Young, where he was Executive Director of Tax Consulting for about 15 years.
