Career

John is co-chair of Neal Gerber Eisenberg’s Cross-Border & International practice group and a member of the firm’s Corporate & Securities practice group. He represents both publicly held and privately held clients in complex corporate, business and securities law matters. He represents clients involved in public and private mergers and acquisitions, initial and secondary public offerings, debt offerings, tender offers, joint ventures, cross-border transactions, and private equity and venture capital matters. He also provides representation on a wide variety of matters arising under federal securities laws, including the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of cross-border corporate and securities transactions.

John has extensive experience advising officers, directors and companies regarding general corporate, corporate governance, licensing and business law issues, including entity formation, supply agreements, consulting arrangements, shareholder agreements, business contracts, intellectual property and licensing matters, and executive compensation agreements, including restrictive covenant and confidentiality agreements. John is the Global Chair of the Mergers & Acquisitions Special Business Team of Interlaw, the Tier 1 ranked law firm network as determined by Chambers.
