Working closely with its market-leading securitisation practice in the US, the London office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius UK LLP includes both US- and dual-qualified lawyers who manage cross-border transactions for US and UK clients, as well as advising global clients issuing securities in the US. The firm frequently handles deals involving a diverse array of asset classes, with ABCP and trade receivables among the growing areas of interest. It also handles RMBS, residential portfolio sales, marketplace lending, credit cards, CLOs, auto and dealer floorplan financings, and commercial property/lease financings. It acts predominantly as arranger counsel, though it is also called upon by originators. ‘The practice is innovative, very responsive and has a “can do” attitude‘, clients note. Paul Matthews bring his extensive experience to bear on both traditional asset classes and innovative structures, notably in the fintech arena. Lisa Cargill represents financial institutions, funds, asset managers and corporates in a diverse range of securitisations and Theresa Kradjian‘s work includes UK RMBS, covered bonds, and both US and European ABCP. Counsel Karl Horvath, who joined in 2020 from Sidley Austin LLP, added experience in CLOs and CMBS.
