Neville is a partner, he focuses his practice on all aspects of corporate taxation with a particular focus on the finance and real estate sectors. He has advised a range of corporate entities, including banks, non-bank lenders, listed property companies and real estate funds and also has significant experience in advising private property companies and high net worth individuals, both in the United Kingdom and internationally. He has a wealth of experience in acquisition finance, real estate lending, sharia compliant financing, securitization and structured finance transactions. He also advises on property developments, both commercial and residential, joint ventures and forward funding and regularly handles first time investments in real estate in London for international investors.

McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP expanded its practice in April 2018 with the hiring of Laurence Rogers, Tom Calnan and Neville Wright from DLA Piper. The team acts for lenders and borrowers, particularly debt funds and overseas investors. Structured deals involving the acquisition and disposal of corporates owning real estate assets are a particular area of expertise, but the team also advises on investment and development finance, refinancing, and restructuring matters. Rogers has significant expertise in both UK and cross-border transactions.

DLA Piper‘s clients include financial institutions, UK and multinational corporates and property companies, which the team advises on the spectrum of VAT issues, international tax and transfer pricing. The advisory group is led by Richard Woolich, while Geoffrey Tack leads on indirect tax disputes in tandem with non-contentious colleagues . In addition to more traditional tax work, the team is regularly called upon to advise corporates on Brexit-preparations.
