Marcia Madsen - Mayer Brown

Within: Government contracts

Mayer Brown advises clients from various industries, including aerospace and defense, IT, engineering, construction and healthcare. The team handles non-contentious matters, such as advising on statutory, regulatory and contractual issues, as well as contentious matters, such as bid protests, false claims cases and white-collar matters involving government contractors. Marcia Madsen leads the practice and successfully represented Oracle America in a bid protest challenging the US Army’s entry into a non-competitive follow-on production 'other transaction' agreement with REAN Cloud, thereby preventing the Department of Defense from obtaining cloud migration services without the opportunity for other prospective contractors to compete. Other clients include AT&T, QTC Medical Services and Sikorsky Aircraft Company. Litigator David Dowd is also a key contact, and advises on matters concerning conflicts of interest, cost allowability, defective pricing, contract and subcontract negotiation, and procurement fraud.
