Gustavo has been a Partner at Lloreda Camacho & Co., since 1987. He has served on several company boards of directors, mainly within the telecommunications sector in Colombia and also, he has been invited by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as an expert to present case studies of successful regulation in several Latin American countries.

Practice head Gustavo Tamayo leads the six-strong multidisciplinary practice, which acts in an array of industries. Current mandates include acting as local counsel alongside international powerhouse Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP on behalf of America Movil in a $2bn international investment arbitration concerning an alleged breach by the Republic of Colombia of the Colombia-Mexico free trade agreement (FTA). Senior associate Camilo Valenzuela who focuses on civil procedural law, international arbitration, ADR and evidential matters is also a key member of the team. However, former director of firm’s litigation, arbitration, insolvency and dispute resolution department, Dora Morales moved in house at Autopistas Urabá in May 2020.
