Sean Berkowitz is global Co-chair of the Complex Commercial Litigation Practice. Mr. Berkowitz is a trial lawyer who focuses on complex litigation and regulatory investigations and has extensive experience in developing creative strategies to solve the issues that confront today’s corporations and executives. He recently completed a five-year term as global Chair of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department, and has an established record of successfully resolving cases at trial and via dispositive motions in a wide variety of subject areas, including securities fraud, deceptive business practices, antitrust and complex commercial litigation.

The US-based vice chairs are Mary Rose Alexander in Chicago, Douglas Lumish in Silicon Valley and Al Pfeiffer in San Francisco. Experienced trial lawyer Sean Berkowitz assisted General Electric in several lawsuits arising from Thomas Petters’ multibillion-dollar fraud scheme. Another highlight for the firm was litigation arising from one of the largest hostile takeover bids in history, in which it helped Allergan obtain a ruling that Valeant Pharmaceuticals attempted to buy the company at less than market value.
