Karl Mah is a partner in the London office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the firm’s Tax Department. He joined Latham in 2006 and currently serves on the firm’s Mentoring and Knowledge Management Committees. In addition, Mr. Mah is actively involved in the firm’s diversity initiatives and leads the London office’s Asian Lawyer Affinity Group.

Mr. Mah was awarded the prestigious Institute Medal and LexisNexis Prize by the Chartered Institute of Taxation for achieving the highest score in the country in the May 2008 Institute examinations, which are considered to be the ‘gold standard’ among tax professionals in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Finance and M&A-related tax are key areas of expertise for the team at Latham & Watkins, which has a strong transactional focus and a specialism in private equity-related work.
