The structured finance, securitisation and derivatives practice at Latham & Watkins has a core derivatives team that handles structured equity, credit and emerging markets transactions for major financial institutions and corporate and fund clients. It has in-depth knowledge of swaps, options, forwards, repos, stock loans, securitised derivatives and structured notes across all asset classes. In structured equity, the firm acts for major international investment banks, corporates and funds in the Middle East, Europe, the United States and Asia. Its recent work include advising two global investment banks on the use of equity derivatives to facilitate two high-profile acquisitions of stakes in listed companies in Europe and Asia. It was also involved in developing market standard collateral structures for use in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Global practice chair Sanjev Warna-Kula-Suriya handles OTC and exchange-traded derivatives as part of his broad finance practice.
