Career

Ms. Jaramillo joined Brigard Urrutia in 2007, she is Partner and Coordinator of the Tax practice area. She has worked advising national companies in matters of consulting and national and international tax planning, tax and administrative litigation, conclusion of legal stability contracts, among others. Additionally, Catalina has been responsible for the formation of the Brigard Urrutia Tax Litigation team.

Besides her litigation practice, she has been engaged in several projects for clients from a wide range of industries such as oil & gas, technology, media, communications, retail, among others. She constantly advises clients looking at potential transactions involving tax and public law matters due to her expertise in such grounds. Ms. Jaramillo is constantly involved in public law and due diligence projects.

She was a lecturer during the 11th and 12th Annual Tax Planning Strategies – U.S. and Latin America held by the American Bar Association. Ms. Jaramillo was named one of the five leading women in tax in Colombia by International Tax Review in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She is also an active member and cofounder of Brigard Urrutia’s Diversity Committee.
