Gavin Gordon is a partner in the private equity group in Kirkland’s London office. He focuses his practice on leveraged buy-outs, and mergers and acquisitions. He focuses on acting principally for private equity funds and has advised many private equity funds and corporate clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, equity and debt fund raisings and restructurings.

Its client list includes many of the very largest US and European sponsors, including Apax Partners, Blackstone, Centerbridge, CVC, TPG and Vitruvian Partners. Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
