Position

Jennie Morawetz counsels clients in all areas of environmental law across a range of industries, from chemical manufacturing, to consumer products, to various service-oriented businesses. Her work focuses on representing private equity and public company clients in the context of corporate transactions, including coordinating environmental diligence efforts, developing transaction-specific solutions for managing environmental liability risk, and negotiating the environmental provisions in various transaction documents, as well as advising on environmental permit transfers, notifications, consents, investigations, and cleanups. Jennie also assists clients with identifying and evaluating pending and proposed environmental regulatory changes that could impact their business decisions, resolving environmental compliance matters, assessing and addressing potential liability under CERCLA and other environmental laws, and negotiating and analyzing environmental insurance coverage. Her clients include American Securities, Gryphon Investors, The Jordan Company, Arsenal Capital Partners, Lincolnshire Management, and Danaher Corporation.

It is routinely involved in environmental due diligence, pre-deal counselling, environmental risk allocation and mitigation, analysis of the environmental regulatory landscape, negotiation of environmental insurance policies, and enforcement and defence of indemnity claims.
