Position

Adam Alper is in Kirkland’s intellectual property litigation group and handles significant disputes with respect to both asserting and defending intellectual property rights in cases involving patent, trade secret, copyright and antitrust claims, with a focus on large competitor v. competitor cases. This past year, after an almost four month trial, he and his partner Mike De Vries secured a $764 million verdict for Motorola Solutions in a trade secret misappropriation and copyright infringement case against Hytera Communications, a multi-billion dollar competitor. In September 2019, Adam and Mike won a $125 million verdict for industry leading client, Eagle View Technologies in another competitor dispute over 3D rooftop imaging. For each trial, Adam and Mike were named AmLaw “Litigators of the Week.”
