The ‘experience, trial savvy and strategic planning provided by the team‘ at Kirkland & Ellis LLP is ‘unmatched by any other‘. James Nowacki, Elizabeth Hess and Jeffrey Willian ‘stand out‘ at partner level. Nowacki recently advised the Shakespeare Theater on the construction aspects of the new development of a theater on Chicago’s Navy Pier. The team, which includes associate trio Josh Mahoney, William O’Hara and Michael Maione, negotiated and drafted various contracts and represented the client in litigation against the project architect over alleged design deficiencies. Willian has been advising Berger Group Holdings on the legal implications of the high-profile Florida International University bridge collapse, including multimillion-dollar claims filed by decedents and injured persons. He has also been acting for CF Industries in connection with cost overrun on five separate fertilizer plants designed and constructed by the client. Named attorneys are based in the firm’s Chicago office.
