Jones Day is assisting GenOn in challenging three CWA permits that the Maryland Department of the Environment issued to three of GenOn’s Maryland plants, attempting to apply the EPA’s recently promulgated Effluent Limitation Guidelines for steam power generating stations. In other work, it advised clients on matters relating to natural resources damages, CERCLA and other contaminated sites, RCRA, CAA, hazardous waste, climate change, and other environmental liability, regulatory compliance and enforcement procedures.
