Career

Head of the Brussels M&A practice, Thomas De Muynck has more than 20 years of experience advising companies and financial sponsors on an extensive range of corporate transactions, including Belgian and cross-border acquisitions, buy-outs, equity fund-raisings and venture capital transactions. He focuses on PE and VC investments, particularly in the life sciences and technology sectors, and is recognized for his track-record representing Japanese investors in EU transactions. Joined Jones Day in 1999, partner since 2010. Worked in the Firm’s Brussels, Tokyo and New York offices. LL.M. – Columbia Law School (2002); Licenciate in Law – KU Leuven (1998).
