Associate María de los Angeles Marín heads the intellectual property and life sciences department at Arias' Managua office. Apart from day-to-day intellectual property rights matters and health registrations for products, the practice also assists clients with trade mark oppositions and trade mark portfolio management in cases involving mergers. In a recent work highlight, Marín and Ana Teresa Rizo acted for Rolex in filing an opposition against a trade mark application by Ralph Lauren. The practice has been able to secure a number of new clients recently, among them Schaeffler Technologies, NILIT and Philhobar Design Canada.

The immensely experienced real estate team at Arias is headed by Roger Pérez, who 'understands the complexities of purchasing land and provides sound advice'.
