Career

  • Yuri Moreno is a Partner at the firm, having joined in February 2016. He is a key player in new business development, among his tasks, as well as assisting his clients mainly in corporate and administrative matters.Throughout his career, he has specialized in providing legal advice to the banking and insurance sectors, as well as general corporate advice to local and foreign companies.
  • His experience includes his participation in civil and commercial litigation, real estate transactions, among others. He has vast knowledge of the Panamanian Maritime Law, having assisted several shipping companies. He began his legal career working for renowned Panamanian firms and also at his own private practice. Among the highlights of his career, he acted as Chief Negotiator of the Foreign Trade Council of the Republic of Panama (CONCEX, 1996-1997), a task force appointed by the President of the Republic to initiate the negotiation of Free Trade Agreements with Mexico and Chile. On a separate matter, he has served as Arbitrator of the Conciliation and Arbitration Center of Panama and of the National Section of Panama before the Inter-American Convention of Commercial Arbitration (CIAC).
