Career

With a career of more than 15 years as a trial lawyer, he has successfully represented national and international companies in numerous complex litigations, designing and executing strategies through which favorable results have been obtained in high-profile disputes, mainly in commercial conflicts for breach of contract and in civil litigation with an emphasis on damage claims.

He is asked to intervene frequently in disputes that arise in infrastructure projects and construction works. In public law he is recognized for his extensive experience in contentious administrative litigation, for advising on conflicts that arise in the labor field, consumer law, environmental law, among others.

He is recognized in arbitration proceedings in national and international proceedings. In international arbitrations he has participated in proceedings administered by arbitral institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce “CCI”. He has also participated in alternative mediation and conciliation procedures for conflict resolution.

He has vast experience advising on litigation prevention, accumulates numerous out-of-court negotiations and direct settlement procedures prior to the judicial or arbitration stage. His career includes participation in Dispute Resolution Tables in disputes arising from construction contracts under FIDIC rules. It is also recognized for intervening in administrative sanctioning procedures.

He frequently advises and represents national and international companies belonging to various sectors, including consumer goods, construction, banking and finance, energy, textiles, pharmaceuticals, agriculture. He is regularly a speaker on legal matters at various trade unions and business chambers in the country, as well as a panelist in various Latin American and regional forums on arbitration matters.
